Felmay, founded in 1995, can today be considered the main center of diffusion of Italian Roots Music and Asian Music in Italy and the rest of the world.
Felmay presents a catalogue that, besides the most important names of Italian roots music (like Tenores di Bitti, Banda Ionica, Elena Ledda, Filippo Gambetta, among others), has expanded to include music from several other countries, especially from Asia (India, China, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Tibet, Mongolia, Afghanistan) and Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia). In the most recent years, the catalogue has started to present also African Music, in particular acoustic and traditional, from countries like Zanzibar, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Algeria, and Morocco.
