Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music
ABOUT
AlfaMusic

The awareness of "independent label" took shape between 2000 and 2001 by Alessandro Guardia and Fabrizio Salvatore, giving a defined identity to an already productive and expanding reality.

The strong correlation between production choices and the cultural and social aspects, the pleasure of producing high-quality music, and the innate passion for "recording the sound" have determined a keen guideline towards Ethno-World and Jazz productions.

ETHNO-WORLD:

At the roots of our activities, there's a fundamental aim: the reassertion of the cultural values of all identities in our country. These values are often reduced by ideological false references of modern society and are merely too far from our Mediterranean roots. The natural boosts of our productive activities are the respect for proper language, proper music, proper origins, and their deep values. This is what we like most and what drives us towards an Ethnic Italian music because it is traditional pop music and not folk. We think it is spontaneous music, which is often young and innovative.

JAZZ:

We also believe that the same consideration must be given to our jazz productions. This exciting musical genre, although usually identified with its Afro-American origins, has positively developed also in Italy, becoming popular at an international level thanks to the activity and the talent of a lot of artists (... and of the producers who have trusted them). The meeting between American, European, and African cultures has been and continues to be very important. The result of this interesting process is the creation of an Italian jazz which is now known abroad, and it's where our Label would like to undertake... relying on the distributors and media cooperation, and with the help of the best Italian Jazz players.
