Kosta Kostov is not a nickname! Born in Bulgaria, based in Germany, at home around the world, the DJ and producer Kosta Kostov never stops the search for the best global tunes. His sets are a furious blend of sounds from here and there, including his own compositions, remixes, and mashups, in which Balkan, Mediterranean, African, and Brazilian roots meet all the nice electronic styles. From dub and downbeat through funk and breaks to house and electro. For more than a decade, Kosta Kostov has been the mastermind of the monthly parties Balkan Express (Cologne) and Global Player / Cosmo Club (Dortmund). He is a well-received guest in Brazil, where he started with local support in 2007 "Go East!" - the first Balkan party in Brazil.

Kosta Kostov performed at ROSKILDE Festival (DK/2009), PORTO MUSICAL (BR/2010), WOMEX (DK/2011), REC-BEAT Festival (BR/2012 and 2016), SZIGET Festival (HU/2014 and 2017), and WOMAD CHILE Festival (CL 2019).

Kosta Kostov is also a passionate cook. "Good DJs are good cooks because they know how to mix right..." he explains his activities like blogging and radio hosting. Since July 2016, he has had an everyday program on the German national radio "Cosmo," cooking for the ears. "Kosta cooks" and takes you on journeys with a DJ with open senses for flavors and tastes, but also music. At the end of 2017, he started his YouTube channel "Kkostbar," exploring more and more the mixing of delicious beats and bites.
