ABOUT
The Zuralia Orchestra is a project founded by Romania's premier clarinet player, Aurel Mirea. The Orchestra is built around original Romanian brass rhythms, folklore, "Balkan gypsy," turning concerts into dance parties. Its Gypsy and Romanian folklore roots, with influences of jazz, reggae, Latin, and oriental, make it mystically appealing to different lovers of music. Although in its early stage, the project has gained strong momentum and has created a buzz in Romania's music circles. The Orchestra is well-trained in performing in different settings, including opening acts for famous artists such as Goran Bregovic (June 2012 and 2015), or joining international festivals such as the Khamoro World Roma Festival in Prague, Romane Divesa (Poland), and Guca Fest (Serbia).
