ABOUT
World Music Orchestra Tundri was founded in 2004, in Vrbas, Serbia. It focuses on the exploration and development of traditional and folklore music of Eastern and Central Europe. They combine elements of Serbian and Balkan folklore with jazz, rock, and pop music, to create composed, authorial music pieces. Created at the boundaries of two different worlds, where East meets West, happiness and sadness are all interwoven, their music is the result of a specific, all-encompassing experience of this world and life in it. In the beginning, the band consisted of 3 members, while today there are 15 different instrument players as well as the Novi Sad Music Academy choir along with their conductor - professional soprano Verica Pejic. The author of all tracks is Marian Babic, a composer educated at the London School of Creative Studies - Music for the Media.
