A priori was formed in Jagodina, Serbia, in autumn 1999 by composer and pianist/keyboardist Slaviša Malenović. Music performed by A Priori is inspired by the folklore of the Balkans with influences of jazz, progressive rock, world music, classical music, and electronic music.
