ABOUT
Ovni Guarajé is no ordinary electronic tropical music group. Ovni Guarajé is a mission... It’s a spaceship which makes the feet move fusing rhythms and cultures, savouring Cumbia, connecting with the Sun and the stars. In Madrid and the rest of the world let it be known that there is ancestral wealth of Amerindian and of African descent, and that while the electronic music unites us, the music of the towns revitalises us.
Ovni Guarajé is here to let Europe meet South America, and so that South America gratefully receives Europe. Ovni Guarajé is the ritual of definitive reconciliation in which poetry, music, tradition and modernity dance together with the same steps towards happiness.
Ovni Guarajé are DJ Caution, musical producer and current DJ of El Chojin and La Excepción, passionate about all music that unites us since 2009. Laura Lima, of Cuban origin, fantastic lyricist, burns up vitality on all sides. El Meditador - lyricist and phonetic improvisor, energetic Shaman. William Carreazo, Afrocolumbian percussionist, wizard of the Columbian gaita.
To the rhythm of cumbia, tropical beats, reggae and other mixes, “Ovni Guarajé” calls us to dance and enjoy, mixing the most popular and refreshing Afrolatin settings in an energetic and vibrant ritual. Their first disc, “Don de Maya”, rises up like a corkscrew that uncovers the intergalactic pipework connecting the Afrolatin and electronic waves for the rest of the world.
