ABOUT
Balkan brass party-starters, the Trans-Siberian March Band, are a colorful explosion of flamboyant, high-octane performances and musical miscellany—a fearsome fourteen-piece blend of brass, clarinets, sax, percussion, vocals, and guitar. We play riotous Balkan, Gypsy, and Turkish tunes, up-tempo Russian drinking songs, and even faster-tempo Klezmer, with a hint of hip-hop for good measure. Sometimes we write originals about cheese pies. Highlights from the band's strange and wonderful nine-year history include shows at Glastonbury, the Royal Albert Hall, WOMAD, Kensington Palace, HMV Forum, and The Roundhouse, as well as recording at Abbey Road and Air Studios.
