Sunita Amin is an Indian Classical Musician. She has been trained by Dhrupad Master Ustad Bahauddin Dagar and Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar in India and she lives in Jaipur, Rajasthan. She is known for her use of microtones and layering of tempo in various beat cycles including 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 of a beat variations. Microtones in Dhrupad are produced from various different parts of the vertical column from the navel to the head and involves rigorous early morning practice and voice culture. Sunita Amin has performed all over India, Boston, USA and California, USA. She has been awarded the Shri Gopal Purphit Kala Award and has conducted many workshops for school children all over India.
