She is recepientof a 2017 Women Make Music funding award for Performing Right Society, Music Foundation UK, singer/songwriter Olcay Bayir is from Turkey, based in London. Her blends her Anatolian, Kurdish musical traditions and Mediterranean roots with contemporary sounds adding dynamic grooves through her original compositions and eclectic arrangements of sound of east.
