It will be better to start describing the city, from where the group took it's name from, Istanbul.. For thousands of years, civilians washed these lands with different cultures. It is possible to live simultaneously East and West, South and North in Istanbul.
Our Group Istanbul Acoustic Fusion continously feeds from this blend of culture. We are experiencing the influence of Indian, Turkish and Middle Eastern etnic music forms which touches our hearts deeply. But at same time we mold all the etnic sound with modern music forms, improvisations. But the most important point, we add our own musical vision and background when playing. Some of the tracks we play are our own compositions, some of them are traditional melodies and the others belong to some known composers.
We are formed of four men who search "the new" on our instruments and musical identities. We are very glad to introduce our selves before you music lovers; Irfan Keçebaşoglu on BASS, Mustafa Olgan on QANUN, Levent Yıldırım on PERCUSSIONS and Fahri Karaduman on VIOLIN.
