Godykaozya & The Tongwa Ensemble
Godykaozya & The Tongwa Ensemble is a band located in Bagamoyo at The Bagamoyo Institute of Arts and Culture (TaSUBa), formerly the Bagamoyo College of Arts and Culture.
The group was created by Mwalimu Justin Godfrey Kaozya, a teacher in Music and Music Technology at the institute in 2009, with the aim of motivating and inspiring students to love and learn music.
The band is a mix between teachers, former students, and students of the institute.
ABOUT MUSIC
Music has been composed with the reflection of different Tanzanian and Zambian traditional tribal songs in rhythms, melody, and harmony.
