Solomon Derick Otoo-Dadzie, artist name Jah Lightning, is a Reggae artist, songwriter, composer, performer, and a recording artist. He is based in Ghana, West Africa, Cape Coast, and has performed across West Africa, especially in The Gambia in 2012 and 2014, and also in Togo in 2016. He originally hails from the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Jah Lightning is the CEO of HottaDanfyah Muzik and is involved in several music programs in Cape Coast and Ghana as a whole.

Jah Lightning is a very humble and affable artist who has been in the Reggae music scene in Ghana for a decade. He is an adept member of the Musicians Union of Ghana. He is such an artist that you can't stop listening to his music. His music is mostly centered on the spiritual influence of roots reggae with heavily Rastafarian subject matter and livity. Jah Lightning has also won several awards; on June 5th, 2021, he won the Best Male Artist of the Year at the CEBA Award 21 in Cape Coast, and on June 19th, 2021, he won another award at the Ghana Innovation Award 21 as Best Reggae Artist of the Year and Best TV Host of the Year in Accra.
