GMO – The label started its activities in late spring 2012. Since then, and until Dec. 2015, GMO has released over 100 titles in physical and/or digital formats. Many of those are also published through GMO's publishing company.
GMO focuses on "world music," not as a genre, but in an international sense: artists and releases come from New Zealand, Africa, India, the USA, Eastern Europe, Spain, Berlin, Düsseldorf, and GMO's hometown, Cologne.
GMO was founded by artist, producer, arranger, and conductor Mile Herting, and music managers Walter Pütz (EMI, Chlodwig Musik, BMG, and more) and Ralf Plaschke (Popkomm, 7digital, and more).
