ABOUT
10% lyrical and 90% gimmick, one must question, what ever happened to talent? With the Garden State (NJ) being known for breeding prominent actors, musicians, and even politicians, it comes as no surprise that hip hop artist Rahein Vincent Cooke, aka Vincent Gutsy, is among the elite of budding stars. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ's LOST World aka Alabama Projects, music has been embedded in Rahein since birth. It wasn't until the late '80s when young Rahein began to love, appreciate, and "respect" the art and culture known as "Hip Hop". Finding his place in hip hop, he had begun inking rhymes in the early '90s. Drawing inspiration from a local artist named Avenue A, watching Avenue A tear apart other local artists and perfecting his own craft would become inevitable. Known to his fellow group members as Vincent Gutsy, the clever MC combines witty wordplay with real-life experiences. Adding versatility, Gutsy never forgets the ladies, as heard on his latest single "Business Girl" produced by DJ Kep. With hits circulating the web such as "Confidon Niggaz," "My Go," and "Bring it Back," Vincent Gutsy is still working on his EP titled "Suppressive Fire." Gutsy is currently working on his own label, Hole In The Wall ENT, while expanding his fan base from the US to overseas.
