Szymon "Mad-Pol KA" Wozniczka

Mad-Pol KA" stands for "Madison-Poland Cultural Action," and its goal is to present Polish artists, mostly musicians, to the audience in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. I am present on the local community radio 89.9 WORT.FM, where at least several times a year I am a DJ presenting music from Poland: folk, ethnic, traditional village, acoustic, ethno-fusions, jazz, reggae, and more. I also organize concerts of Polish musicians visiting or living in the USA. Thus far, I have organized approximately 12 shows of Janusz Prusinowski Kompania, Dikanda, Klezmafour, Kwadrofonik, Grazyna Auguscik and Paulinho Garcia duo, Megitza and Andreas Kapsalis duo, Mikrokolektyw, and Akkord Accordion Quintet. The latest project is a jazz trio from Slovakia - Nothing But Swing, which performs—with USA guest musicians—music of Polish jazz composer and pianist Krzysztof Komeda.
