ABOUT
Isaac Katalay is an artist and orator whose main objective is to promote the beauty of connections in humanity. Born in Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and now living in New York City, his music represents the blending of two worlds. For the past two decades, the artist has worked as an ensemble musician, choreographer, dancer, and speaker. In doing music and community leadership, Isaac hopes to train leaders and establish both social and professional networking in extended communities.

Isaac Katalay is also the founder of the "Life Long Project," a musical group focused on forms of music related to the Congolese culture, even when found outside of the Congo, and he is a co-founder of KARIBU, Swahili for welcome, a musical movement by Congolese youth in New York City with the hope to unite the Congolese talents in the diaspora and increase the representation of Congolese music in the United States.

The artist has also created CONTEMPTRA, a dance and style concept which combines contemporary and traditional Congolese dance moves and promotes both contemporary and traditional aesthetics. Overall, the artist is working on initiatives to promote cultural, social, and most importantly, human values.
