ABOUT
Nagwetch, a Wabanaki-Mi'kmaq from Québec, Canada, is a singer, musician, and composer inspired by his Native ancestry in a contemporary context. Playing with several musicians or solo, he plays extensively in Europe and the Americas to share his people's message for peace and harmony with "All Our Relations" and their love for "Mother Earth."
With the album "Ulodi" (Happiness-Well Being-Harmony), Nagwetch and his band Wabanag were nominated in the Best International Album category in the Canadian Aboriginal Music Award 2005 held in Toronto, Canada.
In 2014, they became recipients of the Silver Arrow Award (USA) for outstanding contribution to the Native American Music Industry.
With "Bemia" (Walk in Beauty), they are nominees in the Native American Music Award 2014 (USA) and were the only artist in their category in the Aboriginal People's Choice Music Award 2014 (Canada).
