MonÁxi meansDaughter of the Earthin Kimbundo, a Dialect from Angola. A composer, percussionist and singer of Portuguese-Angolan heritage, MonÁxi represents a new generation of musicians opening doors to roles still infrequently assumed by women.
Her voice, aligned with theD’jembé (African Drum) create a bridge between the innate strength of women and the wisdom of cultural fusion, drawing out all the colors and flavors that the Mother Earth blesses us with.
MonÁxi has just released her debut album “Daughter of the Earth” with features the single Filha da Terra (portuguese translation of Daughter of the Earth), which was chosen to represent the first music video. Her music is now available for download on iTunes and CD Baby, and available for streaming on all platforms worldwide.
Embodying the richness of the blood that runs through her veins and speaking her truth, MonÁxi openly shares her deepest emotions and experiences, inviting the listener on an inner journey of reflection and self-discovery.
