Well known for her performances as both a singer and dancer with Salif Keita, Manu Dibango, Femi Kuti, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Chico César, Angélique Kidjo, Rokia Traoré, Ismaël Lo, Ray Lema, and Garland Jeffreys, Mariline Maro has been writing her own music all along. Mariline grew up surrounded by music and musicians. At barely 15, she started performing on stage with her brothers and sister. At 20, she moved to Paris and began to perform with Jacques Higelin, Yannick Noah, Richard Gotainer, Princess Erika, Linda Lemay, Raoul Petite, Sixun, Idrissa Diop, just to name a few. With her sister Maria, they formed the perfect duo on stage with the great African musicians. With angelic voices and energetic dances, they added their own elegant moments, making amazing shows! Mariline is able to embrace her realm of creation with ease and talent. In her brand new album "YouKnow," Mariline has composed her personal music, with all her emotional sensibility and energy, that characterizes her work beautifully.
