Malire is a music group from Bandung, Indonesia, first initiated by contemporary musician Dedy Satya Hadianda. Malire was founded in 2009.
Malire simply uses a new way to bring Indonesian traditional music (Sundanese) and Western music together. Besides that, Malire has renovated traditional instruments to be used more flexibly in every composition. The renovation of the instruments has never been done before in the Sundanese tradition.
Malire does not adhere to a specific genre. Instead, Malire has planned to create their own genre called Ethno Contemporary Music.
