ABOUT
Malika Sellami roams the world with her guitar. In admiration of nature's elements, she manifests love along the way. Dancing barefoot in the meadows, surfing ocean waves, or skipping along less common paths, Malika draws inspiration from the connections she makes and the experiences she lives. She learns to embrace ephemeral moments and share them with the world through song in lively, heartfelt lyrics and catchy, loving melodies.

From Quebec City, where she grew up, to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where she "half" settled down, she changed her approach to music and art while exploring what the world had to offer. In 2012, Malika presented her much-anticipated first full-length album; Barefoot, Smiling, a collection of postcards put into songs. The album speaks in many languages that illustrate the raw beauty of a nomadic life: the rich texture of changing landscapes and the people you meet along the way; homesickness and finding new homes; loss and growth. Her live performance takes the listener on a journey across cultures, through stories put into songs. Discovering new corners of familiar places, Malika reveals her vulnerability with her flamboyant voice.
