Joachim Des Ormeaux
Joachim Des Ormeaux is a poet, storyteller, and jazz artist with shamanic charisma, who gives a distinctive tone to the large galaxy of jazz. The artist, shaped by soul and funk music, and also by the Caribbean traditional rhythms of his origins, conveys an elaborate universe, a mysterious and mystical world tinged with accepted nostalgia and resolute hope. His non-standard voice, like a gwoka escaping from a saxophone, holds his whole history in its bass texture.
