Congadar is a group that performs a new language of music based on the fusion of Congado (a traditional folkloric rhythm of the countryside of Brazil) with rock. The band searches for the roots of Brazilian culture with a strong link to the cultural identity of Minas Gerais State.
The sounds of the band explore and value Africa's black culture, with a focus on themes of Congado, songs in three voices mixed with the crossbeat of the "caixa" (a traditional snare drum of Congado), drums, bass, and guitar.
