Balkan Guitar Stars-Tihol Mutafov And Zlatko Burov

The creators of the group Balkanika Guitar Stars, Tihol Mutafov and Zlatko Burov, are cousins born in 1982 and 1980 in Pleven. Since we were kids, we started to play the guitar and mandolin. Both graduated from the National School of Arts in Pleven with a specialty in mandolin. Then our paths parted, and each of us found his own way to explore music and its endless ramifications. After more than 13 years of searching for his own style, we finally decided to do something together. Our pieces are inspired by the shape of acoustic gypsy jazz (two guitars), Balkan music tradition, and of course, the queen of music, Jazz, in addition to leaning on our idea! And after the first rehearsal, magic was realized! The strength of our overall performance is that we are very close and, at the same time, very different musicians, and the music we make together brings a feeling we were looking for many years, separated from one another. We have great future musical plans, and we are grateful to all who will share them with us!
