Yorwos Bakas

Yorgos Bakas is a Greek guitarist and a songwriter. He was born in Athens in 1985. At the age of six, he took his first music lessons, and in 2002, he graduated from the first Experimental Music High School of Greece. He also studied at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the Pedagogical Department. His music style, which he calls "vlahobarock," is a mixture of Eastern traditional music and electric sound. His musical influences start from Umm Kulthum and continue to Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple. In this way, he tries to combine the beauty of Arabian melodies with the heaviness of electricity.
