ABOUT
London band WILDEAST released their first video for the track, "Halls of Light." The song is a surprising blend of world music, electronica, and hypnotizing mysticism. The video is directed by Robert Butler, who has worked with names such as Oasis and Skin as a storyboard artist. A combination of 3D animation and video, the piece features the band members journeying through a psychedelic world and is inspired by fairy tales, cut-out children's books, and mystical architecture. The track is the first single from WILDEAST's upcoming debut album: "Refuge."
WILDEAST's music is a melting pot of Turkish melodies, Middle Eastern percussion, and the progressive beats of London's musical landscape. In WILDEAST, the gypsy clarinet meets dubstep meets the Sufi flute. Fueled equally by the vibrant world music and electronic music scenes of London, WILDEAST offers a ritualistic journey for the dwellers of the urban concrete jungle.
WILDEAST previously collaborated with London-based fashion brand YashkaThor and was played on NTS Radio.
