Rey Jama

Reggaeton and hip hop artist. Grew up all over San Diego, CA, Calexico, CA, Temecula, CA, Mexicali, Mexico, and Columbus, Ohio. Started his music career in early 2003, inspired by his friends to take an interest in music after rap battling throughout middle school and high school. An overall fan of many genres of music, he decided to use his skills as a poet to transform his rhymes into lyrics and learned an old-school style of music writing by writing 16-bar verses. Upon that, with help from other friends, he recorded his first song "Para La Noche." A Latin hip hop song focused on the party atmosphere in Southern California, mixing English and Spanish lyrics. From then, he recorded and produced 7 albums by himself with the use of beats from soundclick.com, on which he also posted his recorded songs. From 2007-2012, Rey Jama joined the U.S. Army and continued to make music. Collaborating with artists all over the world such as B-Mize from the UK and Curtis Lexx from Philadelphia, PA, with whom he is also close friends.
