Projeto Da Mata

Projeto da Mata is a Brazilian band from São Paulo, with influences from traditional Brazilian music, African music, Latin American music, and experimental music. On the road since 2006, they released two EPs and one album in 2014 called "Canções para Enfrentar Tormentas, Tempestades e Garoa". The album has the backdrop of the city of São Paulo and the everyday experience of making music in a controversial metropolis and included the production of guitarist Rafael Crespo (Planet Hemp). Their sound is influenced by many traditional Brazilian rhythms and African with a punk twist, referring to composers such as Itamar Assumpção, Tom Zé, and Kiko Dinucci.
