ABOUT

Pororoka is a Ukrainian dark-folk band founded in Kyiv in 2017. The band's name means a wave that appears twice a year on the Amazon River when the Atlantic Ocean invades it. Some of our songs sound similar to Ukrainian folk music, but none of them belong to it. We use ethnic vocal techniques and ethnic instruments in an authorial manner.
