“Pherkhisa”
Georgian folk music and chanting youth group “Pherkhisa~ founded in 2008, by the leadership of Natia Datuashvili. The group’s first performance was held within the framework of 5th International Symposium of Georgian Traditional Polyphony at the grand hall of Tbilisi State Conservatory.
The group in its repertoire features as well as traditional folk pieces and church chants from
Georgia’s different parts. The main source of learning is archival records and chant collections
published by the Patriarchate-existed Chant Center. Since its inception the group has been an active participant in numerous concerts, different events and evenings dedicated to the charity,
