ABOUT
Oxana, originally from Tomsk, performs traditional songs in a variety of East European languages. She also plays frame drums, mouth harp (jaw harp), and other percussion.
She learned frame drumming from Layne Redmond's materials and started the Todmorden Frame Drum Group, teaching other women, in 2012. A group of her students formed the frame drum band Incidentals, which performed at local festivals and events. Incidentals also organized a communal Spring celebration and played at the first British Alternatiba Festival.
Oxana also writes poetry and prose and paints watercolors.
