ABOUT
Music that touches everyone's heart."
"Words that transcend language."
"Tunes that linger much after the music has stopped."
Trained in the rigorous discipline of Hindustani (Indian) Classical Music since childhood, Nivedita ventures out to Fusion and World Music, beyond the shores of her formal training as a classical vocalist, but never losing sight of her moors.
Nivedita's album of Indian Classical Fusion - Autumn Ballet, has been released by Saregama India, erstwhile HMV – among the oldest music labels in the world. In the album, Nivedita has collaborated with India's most renowned pianist and keyboard player, Stephen Devassy. The album has received great reviews in different sections of the press.
Nivedita has been performing in live concerts at prestigious music conferences, social organizations, corporate events, state organizations, radio, and on TV.
She brings the flavor and depth of Indian Classical Music to a larger audience around the world by adapting her style and rhythm to contemporary vibes. Versatile as she is, she sings to the diverse settings of Lounge, Celtic, Western Classical, and other genres of International Music. Her distinctiveness lies in invoking elements of nature in her renderings, thereby exploring the limits of the non-verbal aspect of Indian Classical Vocal. Nivedita collaborates with musicians of divergent genres.
Nivedita also conducts workshops and appreciation courses on Indian Classical Music and Indian Classical Fusion.
Nivedita says, "Every soul in every corner of the planet should be able to relate to my music in some way.
