Mihretu Ghide is an Eritrean singer-songwriter. He mostly sings in "Tigrigna," the language of the same ethnicity, and he also plays the krar, a string instrument that is traditionally used in the Eastern area of Africa, with some modification in the different countries. Since 2008, he has been working together with Panacea, an ensemble born in Salerno (Italy) in 1998, from the encounter of Michele Longo and Casimiro Erario. They explore the ethnic atmospheres with influences from the most contemporary sonority, such as world music, ambient, and dub. They experience surveys of folk music and traditions, and electro-acoustic experimentation.
By this project, Mihretu Ghide & Panacea offer a collection of unreleased, original songs.
Traditions, styles, rhythms, and instruments, a crossroads of sounds that draw African pictures viewed from the West side. The outcome reveals the experiences of each single musician, and it's an aesthetics of the hypnotic charm which drives the whole sense of a boundless music, genuinely dreamer; ancient and contemporary at the same time: a multicultural and multiethnic language.

Originario dell'Eritrea, Mihretu Ghide è un cantautore, rifugiato politico in Italia dal 2008, dove collabora da subito con i Panacea. Mihretu canta in tigrigno e in inglese oltre a suonare il Krar, un cordofono dell'Africa orientale. Panacea è un ensemble italiano fondato nel 1998 dai musicisti salernitani Michele Longo e Casimiro Erario. Da sempre a loro agio nelle atmosfere etniche e nella ricerca del tradizionale, hanno saputo accedere alle più moderne sonorità della world, ambient e dub music apportando alle composizioni una misurata sperimentazione elettro-acustica.
Insieme, "Mihretu Ghide & Panacea" propongono brani inediti che intessono la pittura sonica di un'Africa vista dall'occidente. Il risultato è un'estetica dal fascino ipnotico che veicola il senso pieno di una musica "senza confini", autenticamente visionaria, al tempo stesso antica e contemporanea come solo la multiculturalità linguistica ed etnica può fare.

ምሕረቱ ግደ፣ ኤርትራዊ ሰነጥበባዊ ኢዩ። ኣብ ሃገረ ጥልያን ፖለቲካዊ ዑቕባ ሓቲቱ እናነበረ፣ ብቕልጡፍ ካብ 2008 ዓመተ ምህረት ድማ፣ ምስ ፓናሸያ ዝተባህለት ጉጅለ ሙዚቀኛታት ክተሓባበርን ክሰርሕን ጀመረ። ቋንቋ ትግርኛ እቲ ዝዓበየ ቋንቋ ናይ ኤርትራ ኮይኑ ስምናይ ቲ መበቆሉ ዝኾነ ብሄርውን ስለዝኾነ ኩሎም ስራሕቱ ብቛንቋ ትግርኛ አዩ ዝጽሕፎም። ኣብ ዝተፈላለያ ሃገራት ኣፍሪቃ ዝጥቀሙ ላክራር እትባሃል ባህላዊ ትመሳርሒት ካኣይጻወት።
ፓናሸያ፣ ናይ ኢጣልያውያን ጉጅለ ባህሊ አያ። ብደቂ ሳሌርኖ ዝኾኑ፣ ምኪኤለ ሎንጎን ካሲሚሮ ኤራርዮን ዝተባሃሉ ሙዚቀኛታት ኣብ 1998 ቆይማ። ካብዚ ምስርትዋ እዋን ኣትሒዞም ድማ ኣብ ብሄራውን ባህላውን ዝኾነ ዓይነት ሙዚቃ መጽናዕትታት እናካየዱ፣ ምስ ዘመናዊ ሙዚቃ ከዋሃህድዎ ዝጽዕሩ ስነጥበባውያን እዮም።
