The Makagigi Project is a colorful musical mixture combining various genres from World Music through jazz, world music, Latin rhythms, Afro, funk, and even pop.
The material recorded up to today consists of personal arrangements of songs originating from, among others, Cape Verde, Latin America, Africa, Spain, and Portugal, but not only from there. The band has a track record of original material, constantly expanded by new compositions. There are arrangements inspired by world music, adorned with original lyrics by the band's vocalist.
