ABOUT
Kool Tur was founded by Liad Vanounou, a Berlin-based musician and producer (psychedelic Greek-Turkish belly dance band Cherry Bandora, and Berlin underground legend Mr. Mostash) during the hot nights of summer 2015. As Liad always has something brewing in his creative mind, a new musical adventure was born, with the idea of blending different cultures and fusing together East and West into one alchemic sonic formula of modern sounds with Mediterranean ethnic roots. Indeed, Berlin seemed to be the perfect backdrop for this cultural melting pot.
Liad, together with various other musicians from around the globe, started to develop original compositions that over time blossomed into a fresh combination of Middle Eastern melodies and rhythms, synthesizer hooks, keyboards drenched with reverb, nostalgic guitar tones, and a blazing bouzouki (4 double-stringed Greek instrument), all floating on top of a funky, pounding rhythm section.
Kool Tur's live show is a colorful celebration of music and cultures, often with diverse guests. Always sweaty and uplifting, the rhythms and grooves of Kool Tur will make any pair of feet dance.
In its short history, Kool Tur has played live shows on stages around Germany and made appearances at Fusion Festival and Boomtown Festival in the UK.
Liad is producing original tunes combining electronic beats and authentic Middle Eastern instruments with special and diverse guests under the name Elektrik Kool Tur, the little sister of the Kool Tur live band. Elektrik Kool Tur has released an EP entitled "Hailli" on Batov Records from the UK.
Last to join the Kool Tur clan was dancer and performer Adele. She added that extra spice of a visual dimension to the music with her stunning movement and performance.
Kool Tur's debut EP entitled "Sol" is now available on all digital platforms.
