João Farinha

João Farinha was born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1976. Fado has always been related to his family, as his father was also a fado singer, and at a very early age, he had the chance to live among some of the most important fado personalities in Coimbra. In 2010, he founded Fado ao Centro.

"Solto" and "Sim" are the artistic proposals of a musician in his own name - an unconditional affirmation of the nobility and the maturity of a fado, the one from Coimbra, to follow new paths and designed for the stages of the world – it is here to be loved and shared by all those who cannot resist the unique sound and unparalleled beauty of the song that was born to speak of love and longing, but also of endurance and a time yet to come.
