Hummana

Hummana is a platform where popular poetry and the traditional Madeiran songbook find a new approach without losing its ethnographic essence. Almost extinct ancestral compositions are revisited, assuming influences of the current world music scene. The foundation of this project is based on the urgency of rediscovery, preservation, continuity, and dissemination of traditional music manifestations with popular roots.
