Sina Moradpour

Sina Moradpour, born on 16 November 1989 in Sanandaj, Iran, is an Iranian composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is a musicologist in the field of Maqam/Modal music, Kurdish music, and Iranian classical music. Born and raised in Sanandaj, Sina started playing several instruments at the age of eleven and continued his studies in Sanandaj and Tehran. He started music when he was a child. Sina was very interested in Kurdish rhythms and melodies since he was 11 years old. At the same time, he became acquainted with the authorities of oriental music as well as Iranian classical music and then learned it completely. He has collaborated with Arsalan Kamkar and Ardeshir Kamkar on various albums and now focuses on world music.
