Nda Chi, whose real name is Armand Noel Ntoungchi Kamtchoua, is a versatile artist hailing from western Cameroon. Born on December 23, in Baleng, he currently resides there. His artistic talents span various disciplines: singer, songwriter, performer, choreographer, dancer, xylophonist, percussionist, kalimba/mbira player, and even photo model. Nda Chi’s music is deeply influenced by his cultural heritage, blending traditional rhythms with modern sounds. He introduced the captivating “lessa groove,” a musical style that resonates with both Cameroonian traditions and contemporary sensibilities. Notably, he won the “Mützig Star” competition in 2019 and secured a gold medal at the XI Francophonie Games in Kinshasa 2023 for his outstanding vocal performances. His music carries powerful messages, paying homage to women and emphasizing the importance of returning to our roots.
