Kyiv Ethno Trio

Kyiv Ethno Trio was created by Maksym Berezhnyuk, a folklorist, singer of traditional Ukrainian songs, and performer on traditional Ukrainian wind instruments. He is a participant and laureate of many All-Ukrainian and International Contests and Festivals. With his solo performances, he has visited many places in Ukraine as well as abroad (Lithuania, Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, France). He has more than 100 Ukrainian traditional wind instruments in his own collection, which he masters perfectly. These include different kinds of sopilka, ocarina, telynka, pan-flute, drymba, kaval, pipe, frilka, horn, and koza (Ukrainian bagpipes). Now, Maksym, with his friends, multi-instrumentalists Orest Krysa and Volodymyr Ponomariov, has created the Kyiv Ethno Trio. It features unique folkloric melodies and songs that Maksym found in folklore expeditions to endangered villages of Ukraine. However, it will not be pure folklore; it is the impression of a modern person in a globalized world. You will be immersed in the atmosphere of ancient and modern Ukrainian world music.
