ABOUT
We are avid consumers and producers of art, African art.
We believe in collaborations and telling our stories sonically and audio-visually.
"Music is the Weapon."
Okwei Odili is a singer and composer from Lagos, Nigeria. She is a potent rising voice in Afrofusion and Soul music from Nigeria and in Brazil.
Her work with the West African-based Nigerian Afrobeat band Ayetoro, her solo work, and the success of her joint EP with Brazilian band IFA in 2015, 'IFA AFROBEAT + OKWEI V ODILI,' made her a reference musically and in culturally improving connections between both countries/continents.
Okwei has inspired bands from South America, Lithuania, and the US. She spends her time between West Africa and Brazil, where she plays and has launched her solo debut album Òsùmàrè with her amazing band, Aweto.
Okwei has directly collaborated with musicians and bands from Brazil, Ghana, South Africa, the USA, Argentina, Norway, Switzerland, Mexico, Sweden, and Germany. The dream is to continue bridging cultures.
