ABOUT
Eric Voyage" takes us elsewhere with his lyrics and melodies between pop rock and French song, but also spoken word, making the words sound on the notes... Between nostalgia, travel in the inner world, a look at life, and this land that is struggling to turn round, the group brings you back to yourself, brings out rays of light and hope, gives off a positive energy, that of the heart, and its waves make you leave again. As a call that stays in us and makes us take the road again...
All of Eric's song lyrics are imbued with the experience of his travels, especially in Asia and Europe. The songs come from his reflections on life, the encounter with others. The group "Eric Voyage" is composed of Eric Régnaut (vocals and guitars), Tristan Mocquet (piano and vocals), and Valentine Régnaut, daughter of Eric (vocals).
Eric is the former bassist singer of the French rock band "Sens Interdit" (80's). He later wrote and performed in several musical shows ("Trapped Dreams", "Travel Diaries"...) combining theater and songs and taking people on a musical adventure through the reading of a travel diary. In 2015, Eric wrote a book "Le Départ" and met Tristan, a Toulouse pianist, who had just come out of the adventure "MOPA" (2007-2013), a trio of piano-drums-vocalists, which is the link between the classical world and romantic piano and the demanding and up-and-coming side of rock. This project of international stature allowed him to work with an American production, to tour on 3 continents, and to share the stage with the biggest groups. They write together the song of the book "The Departure".
Valentine, Eric's daughter, a young actress and singer, joins them. The group Eric Voyage is on track. They make themselves known first by playing the musical show from the book "Le Départ" in various locations in France from 2016 to 2018. They decide together to record the album "Comme un Appel" at the beginning of 2019 and to leave this album's times in a purely musical adventure. A homecoming between pop-rock and French song.
You can discover the clip of the song "Au Pays des Chevaux et du Vent" ("In the Land of Horses and Wind") evoking the memory of a long trip to Mongolia.
