ABOUT
My name is Baba Alhousseynou Sanghott from Senegal, and I am looking for a music producer. I was born on January 1st, 1984, in Thilogne and come from a Fulani weaver family called "Maabo." I began singing since my childhood, though I didn't find my parents doing that; it's just a gift from God. In the past, I used to sing in a rap crew called "The Baston-Boyz" of Kanel (my fatherland). After gaining my junior school degree in 2003, I went to Kaolack in Valdiodio Ndiaye High School to continue my studies and joined there another rap crew called "Ninki-Nanka" before reaching Dakar to Cheikh Anta Diop University after having got my G.C.E. A-levels in 2006.
There, I met many musicians, guitar instrumentalists such as Sileymani Gallo, Oumarel Diallo, and Mamadou Ndiaye, a talented drummer whose help was truly beneficial to my singing experience because I improved and advanced my skills. That's from there I got the daring to make myself known in order to follow Baaba Maal's steps. One day, a cousin of mine let me know about a music competition on TV (TFM) which was entitled "The Relief" (Releve Bi in Wolof term) to promote young talents. I didn't hesitate to register as Baaba Maal 2, and by the hand of God, I was the winner of that competition.
I was also a semi-finalist in a music competition that was organized by Didier Awadi in Kaolack between 2004 and 2005. I have recently represented the Matam area with a medal during the National Week of the Youth held in Dakar on the occasion of our National Feast of Independence on April 4th, 2018. I have done some features with both artists and rappers such as Barham 'Pinal-Gang' in "Fouta-Toro," Sen-Baat in "Je Pleure," with the three winners of "The Relief" in "Releve Bi," the title of the song that won me the medal is "Nafaa.
