It was upon discovering this popular song in the magnificent film 1917 that I decided to write a version for a cappella men's choir whose voices are like an echo of the solitude of the soloist and sing in resonance with him
I wrote this arrangement during the time my mother passed and it helped me in this hard time to keep hope and continue to live
