Vladimir Velichkov is a Bulgarian musician, composer, kaval player and University music professor. He is also a member of the popular Bulgarian folk orchestra “Kanarite”.
Vladimir Velichkov is actively giving concerts in Bulgaria, Germany, Russia, Poland, Greece, Hungary and Belgium. He has participated in many national and international projects for ethno, jazz, folk and rock music. He composes film music and music for TV commercials. He has collaborated with world famous musicians, such as Matt Cooper, Stanley Jordan, and Matt Mason - music producer of the movie "Waterworld" (with Kevin Costner). He has also recorded music for the international Eurovision Song Contest.
Vladimir Velichkov is winner of many national and international competitions and festivals.
Apart from being a university professor, Vladimir is also a manager of the modern, ethno-fusion, students’ folk group “Jarava” where he also composes music and plays the kaval.
