ABOUT
Since their 2010 launch, the international acoustic quartet Veronneau has delighted audiences in North America, Europe, and beyond with their world jazz and pop. Two recent albums landed them high on radio and Internet listening charts and won fans from over 100 countries. French Canadian vocalist Lynn Véronneau lights up the stage with her engaging presence and moving interpretations, performed in Portuguese, French, Spanish, and English. The acoustic guitars of Ken Avis and David Rosenblatt and the percussion of Pete Walby lend rhythm, harmony, and energy to satisfying sets of samba, bossa nova, gypsy jazz, and swing. Veronneau has earned rave reviews and captivated audiences at festivals, concert halls, and jazz clubs in many countries. Based in Northern Virginia in the States, they've played such venues as the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, Avalon Theater, Strathmore Mansion, and the legendary Blues Alley and Twins Jazz clubs. Internationally, the band has performed in the UK, USA, and Canada - performing live on BBC radio and on Radio Canada. Their 2011 album "Joie de Vivre – Joy of Living" rose to No. 9 in the World Music category of the Jazzweek radio charts. Their 2012 album "Jazz Samba Project" celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Getz/Byrd Jazz Samba album and went into the jazz top 10 and made top ten lists of radio stations in dozens of cities from Toronto to San Diego, and New Orleans to Maine. Says Latin Jazz Network, "You can feel the high level of creative interpretation." Critical Jazz described Lynn Veronneau as "the sexy little black dress of jazz vocals.
