VOCALLY
The modern era of music has given way to enigmas and artists of all shapes and forms who break the norm of what we have come to expect from an artist. Jamaican recording artist 'Vocally' is one such artist that epitomizes the essence of the modern era. This multi-talented singjay and producer was born and raised in Montego Bay, St. James. Vocally is making music that dares to bring people out of depression and into a happy place. His music is driven by a desire to have a good time with the goal to inspire and spread love and joy to all those who hear it.
Born Steven Andrae Adams, Vocally is making music to maintain a good vibe for his listeners. His overarching ambition is to let the youth know that they should never give up on their dreams or goals. He wants his listeners to be able to relate to his positive attitude towards life. After struggling with not having a management team, he eventually applied for and got approved by the music help organization for career and business advancement called the Reggae Embassy and Dancehall Embassy. The in-depth guidance from music professionals was just what he needed. This became a period of evolution that led to the growth of Vocally's knowledge in the music business that afforded him the opportunity to take his music journey to the next level and establish his own record label. Combined with his creativity and undeniable talent in Dancehall and Deep House music, he not only advanced as an artist but also as a producer and now record label owner of W.H.T.D. Records. He has ultimately developed a style of production that is daring, full of hope, and reflective of his experiences, thoughts, and ambitions. All elements that turn his surroundings into positive energy and purpose.
Vocally has had a vast array of musical influences. However, he accredits the pivotal influences in his music to the love of Dancehall, Reggae, Soul, Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop that has surrounded him from birth. He rates many entertainers in the industry, yet recording artist 'Mavado' has most inspired him to delve into the music industry as a career rather than a hobby. Vocally resonates with him and his approach to music the most since they are both singjays. This all culminates in Vocally and has produced a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy-going, and fun while still seeking to provoke thought. Vocally uses his music as a vehicle to express his perspectives and as a way to share his positive energy.
Currently based in Jamaica, Vocally has written and recorded a number of songs with popular producers such as Adrian Locke of Locke City Music Group. This union has brought forth popular songs such as "Trend Ting" and "Hustlin Daily," which was a collaboration with Vocally and New Kids. Other artists who are music icons in the Jamaican music industry were also produced on the riddim album that showcases Vocally, such as Beenie Man, Mavado, Harry Toddler, and Ding Dong, to name a few.
Currently, he is working on projects with the extremely talented Zimbabwean producer, Blinxx. The projects that they currently have in the pipeline highlight Vocally's lyricism in a uniquely constructed piece of musical artistry. His music exhibits not only his versatility and vocal prowess but has surely cemented his Dancehall and Deep House style, which has paved the way for the varied expressions of his musical ideas and artistic craft. His newest masterpieces in the works are "Gangsta Girl," "Love I Feel For You," and "Mama's Love." His music is what will push the boundaries of our perception as well as inspire upcoming dreamers. Vocally's music may not change the world, but it can definitely play a part in changing negative minds to positive ones through his music, as did his fellow Jamaican countryman, the legendary Bob Marley. Vocally has now morphed into a music powerhouse with many grand milestones in store as a recording artist, producer, and label owner.
