New album! Urubamba presents its new album, Mas alla de las palabras, a music deeply rooted in its Andean origins yet constantly evolving, transcending borders, and seeking above all a form of human harmony.

Born in the 1970s under the initiative of Jorge Milchberg, during a touring and recording project with singer Paul Simon, Urubamba has from the very beginning brought together the musical soul of the South American continent with a poetic and philosophical vision, subtle harmonic nuances, and a continuous search for balance between musical rigor and personal expression.

This new album is not only the heir to a musical journey but also to a philosophical legacy passed on by Jorge Milchberg: the idea that music is not an end in itself, but a path toward a space where we are all connected. The true purpose lies in that profound human connection that arises when music becomes a shared place between those who perform it and those who listen.
Thus, Mas alla de las palabras expresses what words cannot convey, crossing the boundaries of thought and inviting us to listen to the invisible: the echo of a living tradition, matured over time yet always faithful to its essence.

Olivier Milchberg: artistic direction, winds, guitar
Pablo Trosman: guitar, charango, vocals
Fidel Guigui: winds
Juan Gau: guitar, charango
Teresa Mendez: vocals, bombo
Walter Arjona: winds, percussion

ABOUT
Urubamba was founded in the 1970s by Jorge Milchberg, during a touring and recording project with singer Paul Simon. Bringing together the musical soul of the entire South American continent through its repertoire, Urubamba innovated with a distinctive approach to Andean folklore—honoring its roots while incorporating subtle harmonic contributions, a poetic and philosophical vision, and a constant search for balance between academic precision and personal expression. The group achieved unprecedented success with Argentine audiences during triumphant tours that left a lasting legacy, inspiring countless musicians and ensembles to this day. Today, the ensemble is reborn with renewed enthusiasm to continue along the path originally set, featuring both former and new members: Olivier Milchberg, Pablo Trosman, Fidel Guigui, Juan Gau, Teresa Méndez, and Walter Arjona.
