TarantaCeltica unites the hypnotic rhythmic energy of Southern Italian Tarantella and the uplifting boldness of the Irish tradition to create an ecstatic, high-energy hybrid of passion and joy. Led by master percussionists Andrea Piccioni and Dave Boyd, an ensemble of world-class multi-instrumentalists draws inspiration from the singing and dance music of Calabria and the rich, textured repertoire of Irish jigs, reels, polkas, and songs.
